"Happy" is one of my favorite songs of the past year and I wanted to make a blend that wasn’t too obvious, but made sense upon first listen. I thought the shuffle tempo, driving bass line and horns of Fela Kuti could provide a nice backdrop, so I chopped up his classic, "Colonial Mentality," and this is the end result.
